Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/AI/EE/CE with required years of experience
• At least 3 years of people leadership experience
• 5+ years leading engineering teams (preferred)
• 7+ years deploying scalable and responsible AI on cloud platforms
• Experience with AI/ML algorithms and production systems

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
• Oversee design, development, testing, deployment and support of AI software components
• Make build-vs-buy decisions across Open Source and SaaS AI technologies
• Invent foundation model optimization techniques for large-scale AI systems
• Contribute to the long-term AI platform roadmap at Capital One
• Mentor and develop team members and foster a learning culture
• Translate AI strategy into executable portfolio plans across product areas
• Scale AI engineering practices with reusable components and governance
• Establish enterprise standard for Responsible AI including fairness metrics and audits
• Collaborate with research, compliance, and risk teams to meet regulatory standards
