Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking a Director of Software Engineer in Test who blends deep software engineering and testing experience to accelerate delivery velocity and improve product quality across Fidelity Wealth digital and associate products.

You will lead test engineering strategies, drive AI-assisted test development with Generative AI tools, and manage 10–18 direct reports with dotted-line teams in India, shaping governance and standards for AI-generated code and tests.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience implementing Customer Experience, API and / or Mobile based test solutions
• Extensive experience in developing and implementing program level test strategy across integrated systems
• Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining data quality frameworks
• Knowledgeable with end-to-end DevOps automation with CI and CD pipelines including unit, component, functional, performance, and security test automation
• Expertise in using mock frameworks and service virtualization
• Good knowledge of resiliency software engineering and observability patterns
• Certifications in, or working experience with, AWS/Azure
• Deep, hands-on experience with Generative AI coding tools, including GitHub Copilot, for accelerating test development, test coverage analysis, and code review within engineering teams
• Demonstrated ability to champion a Copilot-first engineering culture, including defining team-level standards of AI-assisted test authoring, prompt engineering for test generation, and responsible use guardrails
• Ability to define governance and quality standards for AI-generated code and test artifacts, ensuring maintainability, security, and accuracy across the team
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building trusted partnerships and relationships at all levels of the organization
• Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing people and teams
• Proven expertise in hiring and identifying top engineering talent
