Job summary

Fidelity Investments is seeking a Director of Software Engineer in Test to lead the Engineering Excellence Team. You will drive test strategies across client-facing web/mobile applications and data analytics platforms, guiding CI/CD automation, data quality initiatives, and AI-assisted testing.

The role requires 10–18 direct reports and collaboration with teams in India, with a focus on reliability, security, and customer experience.

Qualifications

Experience implementing test solutions for Customer Experience, API, and Mobile.
Experience developing program-level test strategy across integrated systems.
Design, develop, and maintain data quality frameworks.
End-to-end DevOps automation with CI/CD pipelines including unit, component, functional, performance, and security testing.
Experience with mock frameworks and service virtualization.
Knowledge of resiliency, observability patterns.
Certifications in AWS/Azure or working experience.
Hands-on Generative AI tooling for test development and code review.
Ability to define governance for AI-generated code and test artifacts.

Responsibilities

Lead test engineering strategies across multiple products to accelerate delivery velocity and quality.
Direct 10–18 reports with dotted-line relationships in India.
Champion Copilot-first engineering practices and establish AI-assisted testing standards.
Collaborate with Engineering Excellence to roll out GenAI capabilities and measure impact on velocity and coverage.
Define governance, security, and maintainability standards for AI-generated artifacts.
