Job summary

Harris Computer seeks a senior technology leader for the LocalGov unit to guide AI-driven software delivery across eight product lines and 40+ developers. You will set strategy, standards, and governance while advancing modernization and customer-aligned roadmaps.

You’ll lead cross-functional teams across Product, Client Services, Professional Services, Sales, and executive leadership, with a focus on AI-assisted to agentic delivery and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive software development leadership experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading managers, technical leaders, and software teams.
• Experience modernizing legacy and modern technology platforms.
• Experience managing geographically distributed development teams.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and engineering best practices.
• Experience with enterprise software delivery, product strategy, and technical roadmap development.
• Proven ability to align technology investments with business objectives.
• Experience driving organizational change and technology transformation.
• Experience implementing AI-assisted development practices or productivity improvements.
• Hands-on use of AI development tools with clear viewpoints on benefits and limits.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute strategy for LocalGov development across eight product lines and 40+ devs.
• Lead modernization across IBM i, RPG, and modern tech platforms while preserving stability.
• Establish engineering standards, methodologies, and governance for quality and predictability.
• Align development priorities with customer and business needs with cross-functional partners.
• Develop and maintain multi-year roadmaps for LocalGov products and tech.
• Mentor engineering leaders and build accountable, innovative teams.
• Oversee capacity planning, resource allocation, and prioritization.
• Drive AI tool adoption and governance across the organization.
• Deliver AI maturity roadmap targets stage by stage across product lines.
• Manage governance for safe agent-based work and code validation.
