Job summary

Norm Ai in New York City is seeking a Director of PR & Communications to build and lead an external program that strengthens the reputations of Norm and Norm Law. You will shape how leadership communicates with media, policymakers, clients, and investors, ensuring a single coherent narrative.

You will partner with the Head of Marketing to translate expertise into compelling content—essays, op-eds, speeches, talking points—and manage relationships with reporters while establishing risk-conscious

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience leading PR, corporate communications, executive communications, public affairs, or media relations.
• Trusted adviser to founders, executives, senior partners, or other high-profile experts.
• Exceptional writing and editorial judgment for various executive outputs.
• Strong media instincts and experience managing external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Build the communications strategy across Norm and Norm Law.
• Shape messaging for executives, partners, and the founder.
• Lead media relations and manage inbound requests and proactive outreach.
• Define guardrails, Q&A, and spokesperson guidance.
• Prepare spokespeople with briefing materials and training sessions.
• Own intake, evaluation, approvals, tracking, and escalation processes.
• Lead agencies, manage risk, and navigate confidentiality and obligations.
