Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation seeks a Director-level technical leader to define architecture for next‑generation autonomous driving. Lead teams spanning prediction, planning, control, and safety, uniting traditional and learning‑based approaches in production systems.

You will drive end‑to‑end development of perception, reasoning, trajectory building, and vehicle operation, while expanding VLA/foundation models in production vehicles. Strong leadership and collaboration with research are essential.

Qualifications

• PhD, MS, or BS with extensive industry experience in CS, CE, robotics, ML, or related field.
• Proven track record leading senior engineers, architects, or managers on production systems.
• Strong knowledge of driverless vehicle architectures including prediction, planning, control and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical vision and architecture for NVIDIA’s next‑gen autonomous driving stack spanning classical and learning‑based approaches.
• Build and lead a high‑performing organization of engineers and technical leaders across Prediction, Decision Making, Planning, Control, and Safety.
• Define how safety‑critical autonomy and learned driving systems integrate within a unified production architecture.
• Drive architecture for robust system‑level safety, redundancy, fallback, and degraded‑mode strategies.
• Lead end‑to‑end data‑driven autonomous driving pipelines from perception to vehicle operation.
• Advance large‑scale VLA/foundation models and their integration into production AV systems.
• Collaborate with research to translate breakthroughs into production driving technology.
