NVIDIA is seeking a Director-level technical leader to define and build the architecture for its next-generation autonomous driving platform in Santa Clara, CA. Qualifications

• PhD with 12+ years, MS with 10+ years, or BS with 15+ years of industry experience in CS/CE/Robotics/ML.
• 8+ years of experience leading a team of engineers.
• Extensive knowledge of traditional driverless vehicle system designs and safety architectures.
• Solid grasp of modern learning-based autonomy including end-to-end driving models and foundation models.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical vision and architecture for NVIDIA’s next-generation autonomous driving stack, spanning classical and learning-based approaches.
• Build and lead a high-performing organization across Prediction, Decision Making, Planning, Control, and Safety.
• Define how safety-critical autonomy and learned driving systems work together in a unified production architecture.
• Drive architecture for robust system-level safety, redundancy, and degraded-mode strategies.
• Lead end-to-end, data-driven autonomous driving pipelines from perception to vehicle operation.
• Advance large-scale foundation models and their integration into production vehicles.
• Collaborate with research teams to translate breakthroughs into production self-driving technology.
