Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Director of Advisory Architecture for its NYC client. You will set long-term technical direction, while guiding solution design, rapid prototyping, and AI-enabled development.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Advanced Salesforce experience with Flow, Lightning Web Components, Apex, or Salesforce certifications.
• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture within complex enterprise environments.
• 3+ years of people leadership, coaching senior technical professionals.
• Cloud-based business applications design and delivery experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of a major CRM platform such as Salesforce.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Director of Advisory Architecture. This role is ideal for an architect who can set long-term technical direction while still staying close to solution design, rapid prototyping, AI-enabled development, and the teams bringing ideas to production. In this role, the Director of Advisory Architecture will lead a multidisciplinary technical team, establish architecture standards, and partner closely with Product and Engineering to turn business challenges into scalable, secure solutions. A major focus will be using AI-assisted development and rapid prototyping to accelerate delivery without sacrificing production quality.

• Define architecture strategy, technical standards, design patterns, and roadmaps for enterprise business solutions
• Architect scalable cloud applications across CRM, data, integration, security, and application platforms
• Lead rapid-development initiatives that put technical teams directly alongside business stakeholders to prototype, test, and refine solutions
• Establish practical approaches for AI agents, AI-assisted coding, automated requirements development, and AI-enabled workflows
• Create guardrails that enable prototypes to transition efficiently into production environments
• Improve development processes, tooling, automation, source control, and deployment practices
• Partner with Product, Engineering, UX, business teams, and other architects to prioritize opportunities and determine appropriate delivery approaches
• Identify recurring business needs that can evolve into reusable enterprise capabilities
• Measure solution adoption, delivery efficiency, production readiness, and business impact
• Hire, coach, and develop architects and engineers while building a culture of technical excellence and experimentation
• Communicate complex architectural decisions and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Advanced Salesforce experience with Flow, Lightning Web Components, Apex, or Salesforce certifications
• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, software architecture, engineering, or similar disciplines within complex enterprise environments
• 3+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching senior technical professionals
• Deep experience designing and delivering cloud-based business applications
• Hands-on knowledge of a major CRM platform such as Salesforce, including data models, integrations, workflow automation, and security
• Strong knowledge of architecture disciplines spanning integration, data, security, governance, and application design
• Experience building working prototypes directly with business users and rapidly incorporating feedback
• Hands-on exposure to generative AI, agentic development, AI-assisted coding, agent orchestration, or AI-enabled application workflows.
• Familiarity with modern rapid-development approaches, including low-code and lightweight deployment models.
• Strong judgment around scalability, security, technical risk, and production readiness.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Background in consulting, professional services, or another client- or advisor-driven environment
• Experience in forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or embedded technical delivery roles
• Familiarity with tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Replit, or comparable AI development platforms
• Experience with CI/CD, source control, UX collaboration, or building a new technical capability within an established organization

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
