  • Teach both the lecture and laboratory portions of one upper-division course per year.
  • Maintain instrumentation and chemical inventories.
  • Facilitate undergraduate research opportunities, including summer undergraduate research fellowships.
  • Cultivate internship opportunities for Chemistry and Biochemistry majors and serve as contact for companies and organizations looking to hire chemistry and biochemistry majors.
  • Organize yearly panels with professionals from industry, government, and the non-profit sector. Arrange student visits to chemical companies in the Milwaukee area.
  • Serve as advisor to CheMU – the organization for undergraduate students interested in Chemistry.
  • Assist and advise students interested in pursuing graduate and/or professional studies.

Position Overview

The Chemistry department of Marquette University is seeking qualified applicants to direct its upper-division laboratory courses and coordinate professional development opportunities for students interested in the chemical sciences.
