Job summary

Community College of Rhode Island is seeking an Executive Director of Adult Education to provide leadership for statewide adult education and multi-language programs. The role focuses on strategic vision, implementation plans, and collaboration across CCRI divisions to expand non-credit and credit-bearing literacy and language services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum five years in developing adult education or workforce programs and partnerships.
• Proven ability to develop cross-sector partnerships with business, industry and community partners.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of conveying complex subject matter clearly.
• Team leadership with experience managing staff and driving performance metrics.

• Demonstrate commitment to CCRI's mission as a comprehensive community college.
• Collaborate in a diverse, student-centered environment and with multiple stakeholders.
• Serve as lead representative and subject matter expert for all adult education.
• Build and sustain high-functioning adult education programs and partnerships.
• Budget management in collaboration with the AVP; drive innovation and growth.
• Develop statewide opportunities for non-credit and credit-bearing literacy and language services.
• Foster partnerships with community-based organizations, employers and workforce agencies.
