Southwood Children’s Behavioral Healthcare in the Pittsburgh area seeks a Director of Admissions to lead the admissions department, drive growth, and ensure seamless access to treatment. You will collaborate with clinical and business development teams to connect patients with care and maintain high service standards for patients, families, and referral sources.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong regulatory knowledge, and hands-on oversight of intake, crisis triage, and admissions

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Human Services Field or RN nursing license.
• Three plus years’ experience in healthcare-related admissions.
• Three years of work experience as a Director of Admissions in a behavioral health facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Admissions Department and cultivate the function of the department as an integrated team.
• Implement the strategic plan of the business development and marketing department as it pertains to admission to the facility and direct potential clients to treatment.
• Lead quality management in crisis triage, evaluation, intake, and admission services.
• Schedule evaluations, intakes, or admissions as dictated by request and census.
• Conduct quality assurance and improvement programs for crisis triage and admission services.
• Develop and implement department policies and procedures guiding service delivery.
• Hire, orient, train, and supervise Admissions Department staff.
• Serve as a clinical liaison with referral sources.
• Ensure department compliance with new laws and regulations.
