Job summary

Bel Aire Recovery Center in Bel Aire, Kansas, part of Summit BHC, seeks a Director of Intake - Recovery to guide admissions, coordinate pre-admission screening, and ensure compliant, efficient operations at the center.

The role partners with corporate admissions and medical staff to drive revenue-generating strategies, improve workflows, and maintain high service quality for patients and referral sources.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Psychology, Social Work or related field preferred.
• Two or more years’ healthcare admissions experience required.
• Experience in the alcohol and drug field or psychiatric treatment field required.

Responsibilities

• Manages the intake and admissions process for incoming patients; pre-admissions screening; coordinates approval with leadership.
• Identifies priority issues and collaborates with department and corporate leaders.
• Communicates instructions, expectations and timelines clearly.
• Leads a team through hiring, orientation, performance assessment, training, scheduling and coaching.
• Maintains productivity aligned with client census and manages staff hours.
• Manages staff scheduling and contingency staffing plans.
• Ensures accountability for performance and client safety.
• Engages staff in quality and safety basics for compliance.
• Educates team and referral sources about services and clinical programs.
• Ensures admissions billing information is accurate and integrated with the Business Office.
