Job summary

Jobot seeks a Director of Accounting in Springfield, MA to lead a growing accounting team within a complex corporate environment, overseeing month-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit support.

You will partner across the business to drive process improvements, ERP transformation, and leverage SAP expertise to enhance accuracy and efficiency. A Bachelor's in a relevant field is required, with 8+ years of experience; CPA/MSA/MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business; Master's in Accounting also accepted.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Previous people leadership or 5+ years of demonstrated informal leadership.
• Strong expense accounting and month-end close experience.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with internal controls, audit support, and financial reporting.
• Experience with fixed assets and/or lease accounting.
• CPA, MSA, or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting team and oversee month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Partner across the business to drive process improvements and ERP transformations.
• Develop and mentor the accounting team to ensure high performance and succession planning.
• Provide audit support and ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.
