Job summary

Renew Home, LLC seeks a Director of Accounting to own financial reporting and payroll oversight, bridging operational accounting with high-level financial reporting. You will drive technical accounting, IPO readiness, and SOX compliance while coordinating with outsourced teams and payroll providers.

The role emphasizes US GAAP expertise, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, tax, and operations in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• CPA (active license) required with bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Renewable industry experience required.
• 10-15+ years of progressive accounting experience with mix of public/private companies preferred.
• Big 4 or Tier II Audit firm experience required.
• M&A experience is a plus.
• Strong technical accounting skills, SOX compliance, and IPO readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical accounting assessments for new standards and draft auditor-ready policies.
• Coordinate with FP&A to ensure proper GL coding and department allocations.
• Prepare intercompany entries with outsourced teams, understanding Tax and US GAAP implications.
• Review quarterly debt covenant reports and assist in audited financial statements and investor reporting.
• Oversee stock-based compensation accounting and ASC 718 compliance.
• Own payroll GL mapping in Rippling and collaborate on ERP-related entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee state payroll registrations and ensure payroll system compliance.
• Seek process improvements and automation with People Operations and vendors.
