Job summary

Greven Executive Search is retained to find a Director of Accounting for a leading food & beverage manufacturer. You will oversee cost accounting, inventory control, A/P, financial reporting, and monthly close, partnering with FP&A and operations. The ideal candidate brings manufacturing accounting expertise, hands-on leadership, and a continuous improvement mindset. MBA/CPA/CMA and Big Four background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have strong manufacturing cost accounting and product costing experience.
• Experience leading accounting teams and coaching staff.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and IFRS financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems; Oracle/E1 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost accounting, cost reporting, and product costing.
• Manage accounts payable, inventory control, and month-end close.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Partner with FP&A and operations to drive continuous improvement.

We have been retained by a leading food & beverage manufacturer who is looking for a Director of Accounting!

The Director of Accounting will be a key member of the leadership team and will oversee critical accounting and financial reporting functions across the organization. This leader will provide oversight of cost accounting, inventory control, A/P, financial reporting, and the monthly close process while partnering closely with FP&A and operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing accounting expertise, a hands‑on leadership style, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Ideal candidates will have the following:

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred
• CPA or CMA
• Big Four audit experience at the Manager level
• 7+ years of accounting and finance leadership experience
• Strong manufacturing cost accounting and product costing experience
• Experience overseeing inventory control
• Strong understanding of GAAP and IFRS financial reporting
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop accounting teams
• Experience with ERP systems; Oracle/E1 experience is a plus
