Position Summary
The Director of Accounting is responsible for leading BSI’s accounting operations while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of the company’s financial processes. This role oversees financial reporting, budgeting support, cash management, compliance activities, payroll oversight, and internal controls while leading a team of accounting staff. The role reports to the Vice President of Business Operations and directly manages a team Accounting Specialists, Billing Specialists and Accounts Payable staff.
As a key business partner, the Director of Accounting works closely with leadership across the organization to provide financial insights, improve processes, support strategic decision‑making, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. This position plays an important checks‑and‑balances role within the organization, helping safeguard the accuracy of financial information and ensuring sound financial stewardship.
The ideal candidate is a strategic yet hands‑on accounting leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and driving organizational success. They combine strong technical accounting expertise with excellent communication and leadership skills.
