Job summary

Zekelman Industries seeks a Director, 5S & Workplace Organization to lead an enterprise-wide 5S program across steel pipe and tube operations. You will own standards, governance, training, auditing, and a multi-year roadmap to elevate safety, productivity, quality and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on change leader who can influence at all levels without direct reporting. Extensive North America travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing, operational excellence, lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
• Proven success designing and implementing formal 5S programs.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading large-scale operational change without direct authority.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel extensively across North America.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead enterprise 5S strategy and governance across facilities.
• Partner with leadership to implement 5S initiatives in manufacturing, warehousing and offices.
• Create standards for visual management, tool ownership and area accountability.
• Design and manage a formal 5S audit program with KPI dashboards.
• Champion workplace ownership and continuous improvement across the company.
• Collaborate with Operations, Safety, Quality, Engineering, HR and Supply Chain.
