Altru is seeking a Director of Nursing Services in Devils Lake, ND. This RN leader will guide clinical operations, oversee staffing and workforce planning, and drive a culture of engagement and continuous improvement. The role is 100% onsite with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional on-call leadership responsibilities.

The Director Nursing Services | Devils Lake is responsible for the management of Med/Surg, Emergency Services, Obstetrics, Swing Bed units. The Director establishes long-range plans for these areas within the framework of the Strategic Plan and established organizational policies. Plans, directs, and coordinates division activities for providing quality services for patients and other customers. The role develops collaborative working relationships with the interdisciplinary team and champions the behavioral standards while working to continually improve the quality of care and service. Conducts and coordinates hiring, training and scheduling of direct reports and conducts performance reviews. Functions as coach and leader for individuals and teams in facilitating the effective management of the Division. Establishes budgets and holds management team responsible for meeting budgetary targets. Consistently and effectively applies quality process improvement concepts in carrying out administrative responsibilities.
This position requires proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace and with patients, families, and team members.
