Job summary

Dominican Hospital is seeking a Director of Nursing Perioperative Services to lead Surgical Services, Pre-Op, PACU, GI and SPD. You will direct daily operations, collaborate with senior leadership and Nurse Manager Periop on initiatives, and communicate goals to staff to improve patient care in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires an experienced leader with a proven track record in perioperative or women's services within an acute-care hospital, plus exceptional communication skills for

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience; Master's degree in nursing or related field (MSN/MBA/MHA) is required.
  • Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
  • Minimum of two years of leadership experience.
  • Current California RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Surgical Services including Main OR, Pre-Op, PACU, GI and SPD.
  • Direct operations and partner with senior leadership and perioperative nurse managers on initiatives.
  • Advise medical staff and department leaders on patient care, clinical best practices and strategies.

*Job Summary and Responsibilities*

As our Director Nursing Perioperative Services at Dominican Hospital, you will be responsible for Surgical Services including Main OR, Pre-Op, PACU, GI, and SPD. Every day, you will direct the operations, work with Senior Leadership and the Nurse Manager Periop on key initiatives, and work with other front-line leaders to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care in very fast paced environments. You will advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators in matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies. You will communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional care. To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced leader, with a track record of success overseeing Perioperative or Women's services for an acute-care Hospital. To thrive in this role, you must be competent and confident, with excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups. Job Requirements*Required Education and Experience:

Required Licensure
