Job summary

The Nuclear Company is seeking a Director of Nuclear Workforce Pipeline Development to lead a new external talent pipeline function for nuclear operations. The role builds partnerships with colleges, universities, trade schools, and K-12 districts to create sustainable pathways into nuclear careers.

You will design multi-year strategies, establish governance, and work with leadership to align staffing with near-term needs while scaling long-term pipelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Engineering, or Education (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive workforce development, talent strategy, HR, or nuclear/energy operations experience.
  • Experience building external partnerships with educational institutions—nuclear/energy or regulated sectors preferred.
  • Track record of building a function from the ground up.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear industry roles, licensing, and career pathways.

Responsibilities

  • Identify urgent workforce gaps and build a multi-year external pipeline strategy.
  • Establish durable relationships with colleges, universities, technical schools, and K-12 districts.
  • Design and launch pipeline programs (apprenticeships, internships, dual-enrollment, scholarships).
  • Develop metrics and governance to track pipeline health and program ROI.
  • Own the budget and report progress to senior leadership.
