Job summary

The Nuclear Company is seeking a Director of Nuclear Workforce Pipeline Development to build a new external talent pipeline function. You will partner with universities, technical schools, and K-12 districts to create sustainable nuclear career pathways and shape multi-year investments.

This build role requires leading program design, stakeholder governance, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations and Training to align with near-term staffing needs and long-term growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Engineering, Education, or related field.
  • 10+ years in workforce development, talent strategy, HR, or nuclear/energy operations.
  • Proven experience building external partnerships with educational institutions (nuclear/energy preferred).
  • Track record of building a function from the ground up.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear industry roles, licensing/certification requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Identify workforce gaps and develop a multi-year external pipeline strategy.
  • Build and manage partnerships with universities, colleges, and K-12 programs.
  • Design and launch pipeline programs (apprenticeships, internships, dual-enrollment).
  • Own the budget for workforce pipeline programs and report outcomes to leadership.
