Job summary

Freudenberg Group in the United States is seeking a senior procurement leader to guide the Americas NPM Buyers and drive regional sourcing initiatives across rubber molds, machines, MRO, IT, services, logistics and eProcurement. The role emphasizes cost savings through strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

You will champion process standardization, contract governance, and data quality improvements across global teams, while aligning regional actions with global procurement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in supply chain, business, or engineering.

  • Continuous improvement of NPM processes within the Americas region and alignment with other regions.
  • Drive digitalization within NPM Purchasing.
  • Create, improve and train understanding of increasing internal and external requirements to NPM processes (e.g. legal, customer, VC).
  • Maintain NPM standing and vision within the Americas Organization.
  • Foster exchange between local/global NPM functions and other stakeholders within VC.
  • Improve ERP data and supplier data for analysis.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • 10+ years of progressive purchasing/procurement experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry, including leadership of regional or global teams.
  • Strong experience in indirect (NPM) purchasing categories such as capital equipment, MRO, logistics, IT, and services.
  • Proven track record of leading sourcing initiatives, driving cost savings, and improving supplier performance across multiple sites.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams in a matrixed, regional environment.
  • Deep understanding of procurement processes, compliance requirements, and contract management within a global organization.
  • Experience driving process improvements, standardization, and digitalization initiatives within procurement functions.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Workday) and strong data analytics capabilities to improve supplier and purchasing data quality.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across plants, functions, and global teams.
  • Strong communication and training skills to drive adoption of procurement processes and ensure alignment with internal and external requirements.
