Cirrus in Minnesota | Duluth seeks a senior procurement leader for its New Product Development supply chain. Own sourcing strategy, supplier negotiations, and contract management to deliver value-driven partnerships.

You will develop annual plans, manage budgets, and drive cross-functional programs focused on reliability, risk management, and cost-effectiveness. Travel up to 25–50% may be required domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent combination education and experience.
• 12+ years’ experience leading work-related systems, processes and challenges.
• 7+ years direct leadership experience.
• Strong program/project management experience delivering complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Travel may be required up to 25-50% (domestic and international).
• Negotiation experience to obtain consensus between parties.

Overview

Defines, implements, and owns the organization’s overall sourcing strategy (for new product development) and develops a procurement plan, the definition of requirements, the selection of suppliers, the development of offers, lead negotiator, the development/execution of contracts, and the management of contracts. Leads operations that build value-driven vendor partnerships focusing on risk management, reliability, and cost-effectiveness for the New Product Development Supply Chain across the company. This includes the near-time planning time fence (within the year) and out-going years. Responsible for the budget, order fulfillment, and/or inventory of area of responsbility (Product Development/Programs). Responsible initiating the supply chain (New Product Development) for a several hundred million dollar annual spend.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of product as part of the organization’s new product development sourcing/procurement strategy
• Develop and gain agreement to annual business plans for new product development/programs, ensuring alignment with strategy; quantify business outcomes (i.e. revenues or other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)); detail expense and headcount budgets; and develop business cases for key projects, ensuring cross-functional integration.
• Take responsibility for setting and managing area budgets so they align with organizational strategy.
• Communicate the function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision and values; clarify the actions needed to implement it within the area of responsibility; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals. Identify and manage stakeholders up to top management level, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions.
• Support the overall organizational strategy by developing and delivering operational plans and outcomes for new product development.
• Manage the delivery of a major part of the organization's product development program. Take personal responsibility for a small number of mission-critical strategic supplier relationships for the new product development supply chain.
• Manage and report on the performance of the function / business area; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
• Manage the development/training for direct reports
• Implement Risk Management throught the New Product Development supply chain
• Lead the development of partnering relationships with senior executives throughout the organization, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and ensuring that internal clients have access to high-quality advice and guidance to support in delivering business strategy and plans
• Define the detailed organization structure for a business area to align with corporate principles, define the relationship between elements of the organization, and define the responsibilities of senior managers, to enable the organization to achieve its business objectives.
• Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of a significant business area. Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities. Motivate others to develop their capabilities and fulfill their personal potential. Build capabilities elsewhere in the organization through mentoring and other informal methods.
• Ensures Order Fulfillment for responsbile commodities within New Product Development in support of Programs
• Ensures adherence to budget
• Ensures adherence to inventory targets/budgets

Qualifications

• B achelor's Degree required within Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent combination education and experience.
• 12+ years’ experience that enables job holder to provide leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes and challenges.
• 7+ years direct leadership experience
• Represent Cirrus in a highly professional manner internally and externally.
• Program/Project management with strong experience in the delivery of complex program management, cross-functional business/capability development and change initiatives.
• Travel may be required up to 25-50% (domestic and international).
• Negotiation experience: Negotiates as the organizational authority and established expert to help the organization by obtaining consensus between two or more internal or external parties who may have different interests.
• Contract Management experience: Acts as the organization's authorities and applies expertise to supervise the construction of assigned properties according to instructions.
• Effective Communication skills: Acts with expertise as the organization's authority on using clear and effective verbal communications skills to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans or policies.
