  • Own the category P&L, revenue forecasting, and pricing strategy across all commercial models.
  • Develop the framework for structuring commercial and partnership agreements, including terms, commitments, and territory considerations.
  • Lead partnership and licensing negotiations with established players in the garage door industry.
  • Build NewAge's distributor and professional installer network for the garage door category from the ground up.
  • Develop and convert a pipeline of distributor, installer, and partner leads into signed commercial agreements.
  • Structure partnership terms that protect NewAge's intellectual property while accelerating market adoption and revenue.
  • Partner with Product Development and Engineering to align the product roadmap with market demand, including defining SKU architecture and future product extensions.
  • Guide product-market fit decisions on configurations, finishes, and features to maximize commercial reach.
  • Implement effective pricing, promotional, and discounting strategies for optimal growth in each channel.

  • Present strategy, pipeline, and performance to the President and executive leadership on a regular cadence.
Performance Management
  • Develop KPIs and reporting to measure category performance across direct sales, partnerships, and channel penetration.
  • Monitor market trends, the competitive landscape, and the broader garage door replacement market to inform strategy.
  • Build a forward-looking planning outlook and advocate for the structure, headcount, and investment needed to scale the category.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. MBA a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in category management, business development, product management, or channel development. Ideally including the launch of a new product category or business line.
  • Demonstrated experience building distributor, dealer, or professional installer channels—not solely retail/e-commerce category management.
  • Proven ability to structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements (distribution, licensing, or OEM/partnership deals).
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to build and own a P&L for a new business.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills with large partners and manufacturers.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to influence and drive execution across functions without direct authority.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Tableau, Power BI or similar.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Direct experience in the garage door, building products, fenestration, or adjacent construction/home improvement industry.
  • Experience with technology licensing, IP commercialization, or royalty-based business models.
  • Familiarity with the distributor/installer ecosystem and industry bodies (e.g., IDA).
  • Knowledge of relevant product safety certifications (e.g., UL 325) and regulatory requirements for garage doors.
  • Experience launching products into both trade/professional and retail channels.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
