Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago is seeking a Director of S&E Project Management Neuroscience to ensure seamless cross-functional execution of TA-aligned strategies. You will lead cross-functional diligences with external partners and internal SMEs, identify risks, and drive alignment across deal portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (PhD, MBA, PharmD).
• Minimum 8+ years in pharma business development or drug development; 6+ with a Master.
• 5-7+ years in pharmaceutical industry in drug development, BD, or related areas.
• Experience in Neuroscience research, strategy, or diligence preferred but not required.
• Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience managing partnering/diligence processes and governance for deal approvals.
• Hybrid role requiring at least three days onsite in AbbVie offices.

Responsibilities

• Actively supports the Search and Evaluation lead for all active diligences.
• Serves as a core member of the S&E team and coordinates activities and deliverables.
• Contributes to cross-functional discussions from program management and strategic perspectives.
• Leads and coordinates cross-functional diligences with external partners and internal SMEs.
• Identifies, communicates, and manages risks across the deal portfolio.
• Drives cross-functional alignment and structures discussions for decision-making.
• Monitors team performance and shares learnings to drive portfolio consistency.
• Ensures smooth navigation of governance processes for deal progression.
• Collaborates with S&E operations on external partnering events scheduling.
