Job summary

Conterra is seeking a Director of Network Planning in Charlotte, NC. This senior leader will direct investment strategy, market expansion, and capex prioritization across networks, towers, campuses, and data centers.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, collaboration with Finance, IT, GIS, and Operations, and the creation of repeatable playbooks for MTU enablement and pipeline governance. A strong, enterprise-minded leader is essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant telecommunications, broadband infrastructure, network strategy, commercial operations, engineering, or planning experience.
• Demonstrated experience building frameworks, operating models, or scalable planning processes.
• Strong operations and engineering literacy, executive communication, negotiation, and change-leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop market expansion strategies and long-range network growth plans.
• Own development, governance, and continuous improvement of network enablement playbooks.
• Develop cluster-level business cases, probability-weighted scenarios, payback views, and capital-prioritization methods.
• Lead scenario planning for build-versus-buy, market entry, capacity investments, dark fiber, wholesale, hyperscaler, and M&A opportunities.
• Set business requirements for planning ecosystem spanning IQGeo, Salesforce, ESRI, Broadband IQ, SQL, SharePoint, reporting, and Copilot.
