Job summary

Bakkt LLC is seeking a Director of Consumer Banking & Regulatory Compliance to lead the regulatory strategy for our Neobank rollout. You will partner with risk, product, and engineering to scale compliance across consumer banking, crypto, and brokerage services.

Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will build 2LoD programs, oversee partner bank governance, and drive risk assessments, controls, and training to ensure secure, compliant payments and customer protections.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of compliance or legal work in fintech, neobank, or sponsor-bank programs.
• Deep knowledge of US consumer banking regulations (UDAAP, Reg E, Reg Z).
• Strong fraud, payments, and risk-mitigation experience.
• Experience with partner banks and governance programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Neobank rollout's compliance strategy and execution.
• Oversee regulatory policies for US consumer regulations and approvals of materials.
• Manage sponsor bank governance interfaces and relationship management.
• Monitor 2LoD operations, conduct risk assessments, and drive process improvements.
• Provide 2LoD oversight of fraud prevention and KYC/onboarding processes.
