Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. seeks a Director, National Accounts – Kaiser Permanente to lead access strategies for Kaiser Permanente’s integrated care model.

You will drive account planning, negotiate favorable terms, and coordinate cross-functional teams to demonstrate the clinical and economic value of Alexion’s medicines to key Kaiser Permanente leaders. Travel about 60% is required; a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in market access are expected, with Kaiser Permanente experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area of study.
• 10+ years’ experience in Market Access in biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical industry.
• 5+ years’ experience in an account management role with responsibility for national payer, integrated delivery network, health system, PBM, or vertically integrated payer customers.
• Experience in an account management role with responsibility for Kaiser Permanente, integrated delivery networks, vertically integrated payers, national payer organizations, or PBM customers.
• Established relationships or demonstrated ability to build relationships with Kaiser Permanente national and regional medical, pharmacy, formulary, contracting, and population health stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Implementing Kaiser-specific access strategies reflecting Kaiser’s integrated model to support patient access.
• Leading negotiations and account planning with Kaiser Permanente stakeholders to secure favorable access and contracting outcomes.
• Driving execution of brand access strategies across Kaiser Permanente affiliates and regions with varying formulary and site-of-care processes.
• Maintaining relationships with senior Kaiser Permanente leaders by leveraging knowledge of organizational structure and decision-making processes.
• Communicating the value of Alexion’s medicines to align with Kaiser Permanente’s focus on quality and total cost of care.
• Collaborating with HEOR, Medical, field sales, contracting, patient services, and brand teams to communicate product value to Kaiser Permanente.
