Job summary

Flyhomes is seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Compliance professional to strengthen our mortgage compliance and quality-control programs. This hands-on role suits an analytical, organized professional adept at navigating complex regulatory requirements and designing product guidelines with a compliance-first mindset.

You will work across loan quality control, regulatory reporting, licensing, compliance monitoring, and internal policies, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify risks,

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in a similar role for a US-based mortgage lender.
• Direct experience in compliance for bridge and construction-to-perm lending.
• Track record navigating state and federal regulatory examinations.
• Proficient with TILA-RESPA, Reg Z, Reg X, HMDA, ECOA, and BSA/AML.
• Familiarity with NMLS and regulatory submissions.
• Encompass LOS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-funding and post-closing QC reviews for loan files with management reporting.
• Identify key compliance weaknesses and provide improvement recommendations.
• Monitor adverse loan files to ensure dispositions meet regulations.
• Assist in regulatory submissions, including Mortgage Call Reports and HMDA reporting.
• Gather documentation from stakeholders for regulatory examinations.
• Maintain a repository of internal compliance policies and procedures.
• Research compliance requirements for new product changes.
• Process new and renewal licenses via NMLS for the company.

Job description

Flyhomes is looking for a detail-oriented Mortgage Compliance professional to help us strengthen our mortgage compliance and quality control programs.

This is a hands-on role for an analytical, organized professional who is comfortable navigating complex regulatory requirements. Beyond advising on compliance requirements, you will play a critical role in designing product guidelines and workflows with a compliance-first mindset. You will work across loan quality control, regulatory reporting, licensing, compliance monitoring, and internal policies, partnering closely with teams across the business to identify risks, improve processes, and help ensure compliance with applicable state and federal requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct pre-funding and post-closing QC reviews for loan files, providing management reporting that outlines findings and corrective actions
• Identify key compliance weaknesses and provide recommendations for improvement
• Monitor adverse loan files to ensure loans were dispositioned in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory submissions, including quarterly Mortgage Call Reports and annual HMDA reporting
• Gather documentation and information from key stakeholders as required for routine regulatory examinations
• Maintain a repository of internal compliance policies and procedures
• Research key compliance requirements related to new product and program changes
• Process new and renewal licenses via NMLS for the company

What We're Looking For

• 4-6 years of experience in a similar role for a US-based mortgage lender
• Direct experience in compliance for bridge and construction-to-perm lending
• Successful track record of navigating state and federal regulatory examinations
• High proficiency in federal mortgage regulations, including TILA-RESPA, Reg Z, Reg X, HMDA, ECOA, and BSA/AML
• Proficient in navigating the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS)
• Experience utilizing Encompass LOS is a plus

Compensation

Salary Range: $150,000–$200,000 per year
