A leading company in the optics field is looking for a Manager, Merch Analytics and Master Data to oversee data analytics and performance reporting for business efficiency. The role involves developing automated tools, managing a team, and ensuring high data quality standards. General Summary
Strategic and drives analytical insights, business reporting, and solid product master data structure to ensure optimized efficiency of product data across Wholesale Partners and Retail Entities. Responsible for generating insights on business performance while maintaining an optimized merchandising data structure. Provides leadership and direction to the Merch Analytics and Master Data team in the creation and maintenance of all analytics tables, data, and reporting. Delivers tools and reports to business teams that enable quick and strategic decisions using the most enhanced data and analytics.

Pay Grade: Full Time and Remote
Pay: $110,541.41 - $147,387.48 Salaried
Essential Functions
Oversees development and maintenance of merchandise analytics to support business performance and includes development of data structure and flow to support KPI monitoring, KPI trend and early detection analytics, and education on KPI metrics.
Develops automated performance reporting tools for business teams to leverage (i.e. creation of Power BI and other reporting tools) with maximum flexibility to drill down to detail with dashboard simplification.
Owns all product and inventory team reporting options to streamline and increase speed to analytics.
Partners with product teams to develop and maintain product master data standards. Holds teams accountable to adherence to data quality. Serves as controller of master data quality.
Drives cost management with accurate and optimized reporting and analytics on product cost and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Supports all technology implementations and maintenance through proper data and master data table quality. Provides data and technical support to drive continuous technology improvements.
Builds and develops a high-performing Global Merch Analytics and Master Data team.
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field or equivalent work experience; Minimum of 2 years of experience related to functional area
Minimum of 6 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of direct reports
Experience in a structured data or master data environment leading data foundation standards and data analytics
Deep understanding of data structure, analytics, and reporting principles
Expertise in data structure, reporting, and merchandising technologies to drive optimization
Thorough understanding of automated systems, data, and technology
Experience working with external customers or industry partners
Experience managing ambiguity in implementing significant process and system change
Proven analytical, problem solving, presentation and negotiation skills
Strong collaboration, relationship building, and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions
The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust etc.
