Job summary

Nealy Pierce has been exclusively engaged by a respected, faith-based, nonprofit 700+ bed health system in the coastal Southeast to recruit a Director of Medical Staff Services. This system-level leadership role oversees Medical Staff Services across two hospital campuses, MEC coordination, medical staff governance, credentialing, privileging and physician relations, with a major bylaws revision underway.

Reporting to executive leadership, the role offers high visibility and strategic influence,

Qualifications

• 3+ years Medical Staff Services leadership experience in a large hospital or system
• Strong knowledge of MEC operations, governance, bylaws, credentialing and privileging
• MD-Staff experience and advanced Excel skills preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee Medical Staff Services across two hospital campuses
• Govern medical staff bylaw revisions and credentialing processes
• Manage privileging and physician relations and governance initiatives
• Partner with executive leadership and legal counsel
