Summary

Vehicle Service Group (VSG), part of Dover Corporation’s Engineered Systems segment, is a global leader in vehicle service equipment, including brands like Rotary Lift, Chief, Ravaglioli, and others. We are seeking a seasoned production leader for our Madison, Indiana facility. This role reports to the Vice President, Business Operations, overseeing Shipping/Receiving and Parts teams, ensuring timely delivery, and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employee safety and compliance with EPA, OSHA, and related regulations.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety in all work areas.
• Analyze logistics costs and identify reduction opportunities.
• Manage inbound/outbound logistics, carrier selection, and route optimization.
• Monitor cycle counts and receiving accuracy, addressing discrepancies promptly.
• Set standards for parts picking and shipping, developing productivity plans annually.
• Coordinate workflow to ensure timely shipment of units and parts.
• Participate in product planning and development.
• Implement process improvements to enhance cost, efficiency, and productivity.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste.
• Supervise department staff, providing mentorship and training.
• Collaborate with HR and leadership to attract, develop, and retain talent.
• Manage procurement activities and supplier relationships, aiming for lowest total cost of ownership.
• Handle special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 5-7 years of manufacturing experience, with knowledge of cycle counts, shipping, receiving, and transportation.
• Strong PC skills and experience with ISO9000 principles.
• Dedicated to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
