Job Responsibilities
- Provides guidance, coaching, and direction for team members, developing each individual and actively coaching them in sales conversations and techniques guided by the VITAS Sales Model. Ensures consistent use of territory and account planning while leveraging the CRM tool.
- Travels with team members to coach, train, and develop relationships with customers, identifying opportunities for growth and implementing territory plans.
- Provides timely, specific coaching feedback during all sales interactions.
- Conducts regular sales meetings based on market needs and team skill set, including educational components.
- Supports new hires and ongoing development for all sales representatives.
- Creates a positive culture of growth and development to promote retention.
- Actively recruits top talent into the organization.
Set Expectations and Lead Accountability
- Ensures achievement of targeted accounts through strategic planning and execution, tracking results against plans.
- Sets clear expectations and enforces adherence to standards.
- Fosters and coaches account management and progression.
- Executes quarterly business plans, targeting strategies, and account awareness initiatives.
- Develops and implements strategies to improve performance and address deficiencies.
Drive and Execute Business Opportunities
- Provides leadership to achieve sales targets and execute strategies effectively.
- Collaborates with team and partners to ensure positive customer outcomes and develops relationships with hospitals, physicians, post-acute care, and assisted living communities.
- Identifies market opportunities through analysis and proactive market engagement.
- Utilizes healthcare and market knowledge to drive growth strategies.
Internal Collaboration
- Works with internal stakeholders, including marketing, patient care, clinical, and compliance teams, to execute business strategies.
- Identifies opportunities for cross-functional partnerships to enhance sales processes.
- Develops physician peer-to-peer relationships with medical directors.
- Leverages support departments for business development.
- Presents program statistics and strategies to senior management quarterly.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- At least 5 years' experience in healthcare, sales, or marketing.
- Proficiency in business analytics, Excel, and CRM tools.
- Experience in developing sales strategies and solutions.
- Strong prioritization, organization, and team leadership skills.
- Understanding of cross-functional collaboration and healthcare trends.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
