Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Medicare reimbursement or federal health policy.
• 5+ years direct experience with CMS, MACs, or similar organizations.
• Proven track record leading Medicare coverage and reimbursement strategies for genomic sequencing and advanced diagnostics.
• In-depth knowledge of NCDs, LCDs, CLFS, CPT/PLA coding, and Medicare payment policy.
• Strong policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication skills.

• Develop strategies for NCDs, LCDs, MolDX, MAC engagement, CLFS pricing, and reimbursement.
• Monitor CMS rulemaking and federal reimbursement policy developments.

• Collaborate with Medical Affairs and HEOR to develop evidence supporting Medicare coverage.
• Represent the organization with CMS, Medicare contractors, and industry organizations.

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Market Access - CMS Coverage & Reimbursement Policy to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space.

This role will shape Medicare market access strategy for genomic sequencing and advanced diagnostics, with a strong focus on coverage, coding, pricing, and reimbursement policy. You will work across Government Affairs, Medical Affairs, and HEOR to build evidence and advocacy plans that support favorable coverage outcomes. The position also requires close engagement with CMS, Medicare contractors, and external industry stakeholders to influence federal policy and reimbursement decisions.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $187,400 – $281,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead Medicare market access strategies for genomic sequencing and genetic testing.
• Develop strategies for NCDs, LCDs, MolDX, MAC engagement, CLFS pricing, and reimbursement.
• Monitor CMS rulemaking and federal reimbursement policy developments.

• Over 5 years of direct experience with CMS, MACs, or similar organizations; experience at CMS is ideal.
• Demonstrated success influencing Medicare coverage, coding, pricing, or reimbursement policy.
• In-depth knowledge of NCDs, LCDs, CLFS, CPT/PLA coding, and Medicare payment policy.
• Strong skills in policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and executive communication.
