Position: Director – Global Manufacturing Excellence, reporting to the VP of Global Advanced Manufacturing and Operational Excellence, Operations

Responsibilities
  1. Formulate, implement, and harmonize manufacturing excellence practices across the global factory network to improve productivity and continuous improvement programs.
  2. Serve as a technical, leadership, and program management conduit between corporate operations, IT, and global sites.
  3. Support advanced manufacturing and technology transfer strategic initiatives.
  4. Provide data analytics and statistical analysis support for lean six sigma and advanced manufacturing projects.
  5. Streamline, automate, and improve manufacturing processes and systems such as MDE, SCADA, MES, APC, and SPC.
  6. Collaborate with engineering teams and external suppliers on automation solutions.
  7. Contribute to the design of digitization platforms with IT and operations teams.
  8. Scale manufacturing best practices including demand planning, capacity modeling, and yield methodologies.
Requirements

The ideal candidate embodies a high-performance, collaborative culture, with strong analytical, technical, and leadership skills. They should be innovative, proactive, possess end-to-end ownership, and have excellent communication skills. Willingness to travel internationally is required.

  • BS/MS in science/engineering with excellent academic record.
  • 8-15 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing, especially in process engineering, equipment engineering, or automation, preferably in semiconductor/photonics.
  • Proficiency in supply/demand planning, factory capacity modeling, and optimization tools like Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, Anaplan.
  • Skilled in Excel, VBA, JMP, Minitab, R, Python, RPA/UIPath for analysis automation.
  • Experience with SQL, SAP, ERP/MES systems, and APIs.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Power BI.
  • Strong data visualization and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
