Job summary

MP Materials seeks a Director of Projects Procurement to lead major capital project procurement for the company’s global operations, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain. The role oversees all major project procurement with an estimated annual spend of $300+ million direct and indirect, guiding strategy, sourcing, and contracting across EPCs and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Minimum undergraduate degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Engineering, Business, Finance or related discipline.
• CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) preferred.
• 10+ years overall work experience in Projects, Engineering or Project Procurement.
• Minimum of 7 years’ procurement, supply chain, commercial, contract development or contract management experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with EPCs.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with industrial type facilities.
• Willingness to travel as required to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Supply Chain strategy and execution plan for Major Projects.
• Establish effective Supply Chain processes and optimize capital spend for Major Projects.
• Build relationships with senior Construction and Capital Projects leadership and external suppliers.
• Collaborate to develop and implement sourcing and contracting strategies for projects.
• Lead or participate in negotiations to improve productivity and cost competitiveness.
