Job description

Director, M&A Integrations & Strategic Initiatives

About the RoleThis is a critical, high-visibility role at the center of our strategic enterprise initiatives and inorganic growth strategy. You will serve as the connective tissue between Corporate Development, Kiteworks’ functional leaders, and acquired-company teams, ensuring that every acquisition translates into realized value. You’ll own and continuously improve our integration playbook, run the Integration Management Office (IMO), and lead cross-functional workstreams spanning product integration, go-to-market, finance, IT, people, legal, and business operations. This is a high-visibility role for an experienced operator who thrives at the intersection of strategy, transformation, and execution.

What You’ll Do
  • Own all post-merger integration (PMI) efforts end-to-end, from pre-close readiness to full synergy realization and operational steady state
  • Lead the cross-functional Integration Management Office (IMO), ensuring alignment across all functional teams and timely execution of all phases of integration
  • Partner with Corporate Development during due diligence to identify integration risks, synergy opportunities, and Day 1 readiness requirements before deals close
  • Define integration strategies tailored to each transaction and align to the deal thesis and business objectives
  • Run strategic programs that extend beyond initial deal closure, ensuring long‑term integration success and value creation across acquired and legacy businesses
  • Drive high‑impact initiatives that expand value from past integrations, including product harmonization, GTM alignment, and systems migrations
  • Oversee cross‑functional integration workstreams including IT systems consolidation, HR and org design, finance and legal entity restructuring, brand and go‑to‑market alignment, and product rationalization
  • Establish synergy tracking and value realization by creating baselines, building accountability mechanisms, and reporting progress to executive leadership and the board
  • Serve as the primary integration point of contact for acquired company leadership, building trust and managing change through periods of significant organizational transition
  • Identify and proactively mitigate integration risks, escalating issues early and developing contingency plans that keep integrations on track
  • Develop and maintain integration dashboards, status reporting, and executive communications that provide visibility into milestones, risks, and decisions needed
  • Continuously improve the integration function by capturing lessons learned, benchmarking against industry best practices, and investing in tooling and team capability
  • Protect confidential business information and partner data, ensuring secure sharing practices and compliance with data protection agreements and ISO 27001 controls.
What You’ll Bring
  • 6+ years of tech M&A integration, corporate strategy, product management, tech execution leadership, or a related field
  • Demonstrated track record of exceptional performance, rapid growth, and increasing responsibility in previous roles
  • Expertise across some integration workstreams including product, go‑to‑market, IT/systems, HR/people, finance or legal – with the ability to lead or credibly challenge functional experts in each area
  • Strong execution skills: you can run multiple complex, interdependent workstreams simultaneously without losing visibility into the details that matter
  • Executive presence and exceptional communication skills – you’re equally comfortable presenting integration strategy to the C‑suite and rolling up your sleeves with workstream owners
  • High financial acumen: you understand deal economics, can model synergy cases, and know how to translate integration decisions into P&L impact
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and change – you stay calm under pressure, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and bring others along with you
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills – you can align people across functions, levels, and organizations without direct authority
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
