Alexander Wang is seeking a Director of Product Development for Accessories in New York. Lead development across handbags, SLG, and leather goods, setting calendars, budgets, and strategic direction while partnering with design and merchandising to deliver premium collections.

You will manage the Accessories Product Development team, align with external suppliers, and drive cost efficiencies, quality, and timely delivery, with global travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of global accessories product development experience (handbags, SLG, leather goods).
• Experience with manufacturing and material partners across Asia and Europe.
• Strong aesthetic sense and deep construction knowledge in luxury leather goods and hardware.
• Proven experience leading and developing product development teams with budget ownership.

Responsabilités

• Develop clear product development calendars for handbags, SLG, and leather goods.
• Lead and grow the Accessories Product Development team with design and merchandising input.
• Own strategic planning for the accessories product development function from concept to handoff.
• Coordinate between internal partners and external suppliers for materials, hardware, and components.
• Lead prototype, SMS, and BOM meetings to keep development on track.
• Drive cost improvements and reduce sample lead times while maintaining quality.
