Job summary

NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services seeks an Administrative Engineer (10015) to lead design review, project management, and capital improvements for city properties. The role requires a NYS Professional Engineer license and at least six years in civil/structural engineering, with strong AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management skills.

You will oversee design documents, DOB filings, FISP management, and cost negotiation for building facades, roofs, and essential infrastructure.

Qualifications

Valid New York State Professional Engineer license is required.
Six years of full-time experience in civil/structural/architectural engineering or equivalent.
Experience in executive, managerial, or administrative capacity is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prioritize repairs/upgrades of facades, parapets, roofs, and building infrastructure with budgets.
Prepare, sign & seal design documents for DOB filings and inspections.
Manage Facade Inspection & Safety Program (FISP) and related DOB processes.
Develop cost forecasts, change orders, and negotiation support.
Review drawings, contracts, and modifications for value and compliance.
Coordinate with directors and staff to manage contracts and projects.
