Join to apply for the Director, Local Ad Sales role at CBS News and Stations.

The CBS Stations’ Local Ad Sales team is responsible for driving all local revenue growth across Paramount Global streaming & digital assets, as well as the 27 owned & operated CBS Television Stations. This team collaborates across divisions, providing leadership in local sales strategy, innovation, training, and revenue generation.

Position Overview:

We seek exceptional candidates for the Director, Local Agency Partnerships who will lead Key Agency partnerships to boost local advertising revenue across digital & streaming assets, including Paramount+, CBS, Pluto TV, and more. Reporting to the Vice President, Local Agency Partnerships, this role involves working closely with local sales teams nationwide.

Role Details:

The Director will oversee pursuit of major agency partnerships, focusing on revenue growth through consultative sales, up-selling, educating on the evolving landscape, and developing new business in streaming and broadcast media. This role also involves managing external relationships and internal stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities include supervising and training Account Executives and Managers, supporting team development, and motivating staff. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital and streaming advertising, proactive, organized, and an excellent communicator.

Your Day-to-Day:
  • Collaborate with teams and clients to develop digital solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Key Agency partners, prospecting for new opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close deals.
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, marketing, and other teams to align partnerships with business goals.
  • Participate in sales calls as a digital expert and assist in creating media plans and presentations.
  • Train AEs and AMs on cross-platform advertising strategies.
  • Understand workflow systems and advise clients accordingly.
  • Monitor digital campaign performance and optimize delivery.
  • Contribute to revenue strategy and strategic packaging discussions.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • 6+ years in advertising/media, streaming sales experience preferred.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with client and agency relationships.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Operative, GAM, Google Analytics, or similar tools.
  • Experience in programmatic sales and local TV sales.

Additional Information:
