Job summary

Dow Jones is seeking a senior technical leader to architect and implement a new streaming network that connects our studio and newsroom workflows to on-screen distribution. You will shape the tech stack, select tools, and drive production-grade automation across editorial, video production, and publishing systems.

The role requires deep hands-on fluency, 12+ years in infrastructure, and a track record delivering live production capabilities.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience building infrastructure from scratch in production settings.
• Experience designing or supporting live production environments, including studio operations, automation, or streaming infrastructure.
• Deep hands-on technical fluency to evaluate architecture and lead complex integrations.
• Strong judgment on what to build vs buy and ability to defend architectural choices.

Responsibilities

• Architect the end-to-end tech stack for the network, with the Dow Jones technology team.
• Evaluate build-vs-buy decisions and vendor options across the stack.
• Integrate new systems into the editorial workflow from day one.
• Design pipelines turning long-form editorial output into clips, summaries, and derivatives at streaming speed.
• Establish AI provenance and safety guardrails within editorial workflows.
