Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in relevant roles.
• Track record building infrastructure from scratch for editorial/media output.
• Experience designing or supporting live production environments.
• Deep hands‑on technical fluency; capable of evaluating architecture and leading complex integrations.
• Strong judgment on build vs buy decisions and current tech landscape guidance.
• Experience collaborating with editorial/production teams and translating needs.
• Fluency with modern media production stack and ability to move fast with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Architect the end‑to‑end tech stack for the network in partnership with the Dow Jones technology team.
• Recommend build‑vs‑buy decisions and evaluate vendors with procurement, security, and engineering standards.
• Work with the Head of Programming to integrate new systems into editorial workflow from day one.
• Design and oversee pipelines connecting data, CMS, and publishing infrastructure to produce clips and summaries at streaming speed.
• Collaborate on standards for AI provenance, accuracy checks, and guardrails in journalism.
• Serve as technical owner of the control room during launch and scale planning.
• Advise leadership on methods, models, and tools and separate hype from reality with rigor.
• Be conversant in modern LLM stacks and rights/safety considerations in a news environment.
