Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a Director of Program Management for Licensed Coffeehouses Construction in Seattle to lead construction across the licensed business, delivering new stores and renovations on time and within budget while upholding quality and safety standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and strong collaboration with design, real estate, licensees and operators to achieve consistent, high‑quality execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction management experience in retail and/or general contracting.
• 10+ years of progressive experience performing construction project management responsibilities.
• 5+ years managing, coaching and developing teams.
• 5+ years managing construction permits and approvals within the development process.
• 8+ years of planning and budgeting experience.
• Preferred bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture or a business-related field.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing construction team, driving excellence in scope, schedule and budget management through partnerships with design, real estate, licensees and operators.
• Lead execution of new store openings and renovation projects across the licensed business, emphasizing efficiency, value engineering, consistent execution and high-quality outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, remove barriers and implement scalable construction best practices.
• Proactively assess and mitigate risks throughout the construction lifecycle while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Set clear goals, coach and develop team members, provide actionable feedback and model leadership behaviors that strengthen organizational consistency.
• Create energy and alignment in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while staying true to Starbucks' mission and guiding principles
