Job summary

RFCUNY is seeking a Learning Through Drama Program Director to provide strategic leadership for CAT's LTD portfolio in New York City. You will lead curriculum development, train teaching artists, and supervise cross-functional project teams to deliver high-quality drama-education programs across schools and community settings.

The role emphasizes grant management, budgeting, evaluation, and reporting, with a focus on partnerships with schools and funders to advance college readiness and SEL

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with three years relevant experience, or Master’s Degree with two years.
• Experience in applied theatre/arts-in-education preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to lead and manage program staff and relationships with partners

Responsibilities

• Develop annual program structure and oversee implementation of all projects.
• Directly supervise 6-12 Actor Teachers, Associate Program Directors, and Program Managers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with school partners and funders.
• Hire program staff, coordinate auditions, and onboarding.
• Train program staff in drama education pedagogy and CAT practices.
• Oversee budgeting, evaluation, and reporting.
• Ensure grant compliance and timely documentation.
• Collaborate on program policy development and staff orientation.
