Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. seeks an experienced labor & employment attorney to provide practical counsel on a wide range of employment matters in a fast-paced retail environment. The role emphasizes risk assessment, policy development, and collaboration with HR and outside counsel.

The position is hybrid, based at our Cranberry Township headquarters with in-office and remote days. Requires a J.D. from an ABA-accredited school, current US state bar admission, and at least 7 years in employment law with HR

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years’ experience in employment law advising HR clients at various levels.
Minimum 5 years’ experience overseeing employment claims and litigation.
J.D. from ABA-accredited law school; bar membership in at least one US state and PA readiness.

Responsibilities

Provide practical advice and counsel on employment matters across the organization.
Draft and negotiate employment agreements and policies; advise on leaves and disability accommodation.
Manage workplace investigations and employment-related litigation; oversee outside counsel.
Monitor legislation and ensure compliance with labor and employment laws at all locations.
Partner with HR and business leaders to implement standardized HR policies and risk controls.
Foster a collaborative, business-focused approach while maintaining confidentiality.
