Job summary

BNY Mellon seeks a Director, IWM Portfolio Manager to join our Investment Management team in Seattle, WA. You will independently manage assets within policy guidelines and direct significant AUM and external revenue, while meeting with clients to communicate strategy and market outlook.

You will oversee portfolio performance, make timely adjustments, and participate in investment committee activities to shape policies and drive business performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced or graduate degree preferred.
• 10-15 years of total work experience preferred, including over 10 years of investment experience for MBAs or CFAs.
• Strong investment management experience with the ability to manage complex portfolios and make sound portfolio decisions.
• Experience engaging with clients and business prospects to explain investment strategy and market outlook.
• Bi-lingual capabilities are helpful, along with an understanding of local and cultural nuances that support client trust.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a significant amount of assets within investment policy guidelines, including mellon flagship funds and other large or complex accounts.
• Direct a significant portion of AUM and/or manage external revenue of at least $10MM while contributing to client retention and business growth.
• Meet with clients and prospective clients to communicate investment strategy, market performance, and current market conditions, and serve as a spokesperson for the fund.
• Oversee portfolio performance, make timely portfolio adjustments, and make informed business decisions based on stakeholder input, data, and key performance indicators.
• Participate in investment committee activities and help develop policies and strategies to improve business performance.
• Supervise Senior Portfolio Managers and provide guidance to less experienced Portfolio Managers as needed.
