Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Director III for the IT Core Services Division, overseeing enterprise infrastructure, modernization, and service delivery.

The role directs strategic objectives, operational plans, and budget management across HHSC IT, ensuring continuity, reliability, and excellent customer service for 50,000+ users. Telework may be available, with a strong focus on governance and risk reduction.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure operations including Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Active Directory.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities for a large technical team.
• Experience with ITIL Service Management and security/compliance practices.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees Core Services operations and modernization initiatives.
• Develops multi-year roadmaps for infrastructure modernization and platform transformation.
• Oversees security, risk management, disaster recovery, and compliance programs.
• Manages budgets, staffing, and vendor performance for HHSC IT services.
