Job summary

Ecolab is seeking a Digital Audit Director to lead the Digital Audit function, partnering with Digital, Finance, Enterprise AI, and Global Business Services to shape the global digital risk environment and drive value.

You will own the Digital Audit strategy and multi-year roadmap, oversee annual plans, and mentor a high-performing team while collaborating with stakeholders and external auditors on ITGC testing and control enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance or Accounting or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive relevant experience including 3+ years of team leadership
• Active CISA or similar professional certification
• Strong understanding of control frameworks and standards such as IIA, COBIT and NIST
• Executive presence with demonstrated ability to influence leaders on digital risk, controls, and business issues
• Experience with SOX IT General Controls

Responsibilities

• Influence and shape Ecolab's view of the global digital risk landscape and controls framework across data, information technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and ERP / enterprise operating platform risk domains
• Own the Digital Audit strategy and multi-year roadmap
• Set and execute the annual Digital Audit plan including high-quality audits, assessments, and advisory work
• Manage Digital audit and advisory co-source relationships as appropriate
• Partner with Digital GRC and key stakeholders to strengthen the digital control environment and drive progress on management implementation of action plans as a trusted and valued advisor
• Partner with and advise Digital GRC and the external auditor as they plan and execute SOX IT General Control (ITGC) and configured control testing
• Sponsor Audit Services data and analytics enhancements including but not limited to enhancements to GRC tools, data analytics, AI enablers, and other emerging areas
• Lead and develop a high-performing team through recruiting, hiring, and coaching to build future organization leaders while maintaining strong employee engagement
• Contribute to Audit Committee, Information Systems Security Council, and executive reporting on audit results and trends, and emerging and significant digital risk themes
• Support continuous improvement of the audit practice through learning and development opportunities including continuous education (CPE) and leading department initiatives

The Digital (Information Technology) Audit Director is a high impact senior leadership role reporting directly to Ecolab's Vice President of Audit Services. This leader oversees the Digital Audit function and serves as the leader of the third line of defense for digital and IT risk domains, partnering with leaders across Digital, Finance, Enterprise AI, and Global Business Services. The role shapes Ecolab's view of the global digital risk environment, leads risk-based Digital audits and advisory work, and partners with stakeholders to strengthen the control environment and drive value. This is a unique opportunity to influence how Ecolab governs, controls, and accelerates digital transformation and is designed to build capabilities for future leadership opportunities in roles across the Digital, Audit, Enterprise AI, and Global Business Services teams.

What You Will Do:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance or Accounting or related field
• 10+ years of progressive relevant experience including 3+ years of team leadership experience * Active CISA or similar professional certification
• Strong understanding of control frameworks and standards such as IIA, COBIT and NIST
• Executive presence with demonstrated ability to influence leaders on complex digital risk, controls, and business issues
• Digital technology fluency with the ability to translate trends into practical audit and risk priorities * Experience with SOX IT General Controls

Preferred Qualifications:

• Big 4 IT Audit experience
• CISSP, CRISC, CISM, or other relevant professional certifications
• Experience as a top tier audit and advisory partner to internal audit teams, Digital and IT leaders, and business leaders
• Experience providing oversight of planning and execution for multiple audit and advisory projects in parallel, including deployment of co-source partners as needed

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $141,800.00 - $212,800.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentives based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
