Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Director of Investor Relations to shape Schwab's external communications and strategic investor engagement. You will work with senior finance and leadership teams to craft messages, prepare earnings materials, and support shareholder communications.

You will lead cross-functional efforts across Finance, Legal, Strategy, and Corporate Affairs, ensuring accurate, timely, and compelling investor narratives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, CPA, or other advanced degree/certification preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Equity Research, Corporate Strategy, Capital Markets, Financial Communications, or related field.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, capital markets, and public company financial communications.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to derive insights from complex information.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to translate complex concepts into clear messages.
• Experience developing presentations, executive communications, earnings materials, or Board-level reporting.
• Strong executive presence and ability to interact with senior leaders, investors, and analysts.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
• Ability to influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience in financial services, banking, wealth management, or regulated industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to develop and execute Schwab's investor relations strategy.
• Lead the preparation of quarterly earnings materials, investor presentations, and Board-level materials.
• Develop clear narratives regarding financial performance, priorities, and growth opportunities.
• Coordinate messaging across Finance, Corporate Affairs, Legal, Treasury, and business partners to ensure alignment.
• Prepare executive and Board materials related to investor engagement and market developments.
• Build relationships with institutional investors and sell-side analysts.
• Support investor meetings, roadshows, and conferences with materials and briefing documents.
• Respond to inquiries by coordinating with internal subject matter experts.
• Lead market intelligence analyses and provide insights to senior management.
