Job summary

Charles Schwab seeks a Director of Investor Relations to lead strategy, communications, and engagement with shareholders, analysts, and executives. You will craft narratives on performance and growth, coordinate with Finance, Legal, and Treasury, and prepare communications for senior leadership and the Board.

The role offers exposure to senior executives and requires collaboration across Finance, Corporate Strategy, and Corporate Affairs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, CPA or other advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Equity Research, Corporate Strategy, Capital Markets, Financial Communications, or related field.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, capital markets, and public company financial communications.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication, able to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• Experience developing presentations, executive communications, earnings materials, and board‑level reporting.
• Strong executive presence and cross‑functional collaboration with senior leaders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries preferred.
• Curiosity, judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to develop and execute investor relations strategy and external communications.
• Lead preparation of quarterly earnings materials, business updates, and investor presentations.
• Develop clear narratives on financial performance, priorities, and growth opportunities.
• Coordinate messaging across Finance, Legal, Treasury, and business partners for consistency.
• Prepare executive and Board‑level materials related to investor engagement and market developments.
• Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors and sell-side analysts.
• Support investor meetings, roadshows, and conferences with materials and analysis.
• Provide market intelligence and actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Lead cross‑functional workstreams to improve disclosures and processes.
